Q. How can I set up my Universal TV Remote via the Auto search procedure?

The Earthma Universal remote is compatible with most brands. You can also set it up with an auto search configuration.

For TV

1. Switch on your TV first.
2. Press the TV key for 2 seconds and you will see a LED light blinking and glowing on the remote.
3. Once you are done with step 2, press the Power Key to start the auto search function to identify your TV.
4. Once your remote is done with auto search and your TV has been identified, it will turn OFF your TV.
5. The moment you are done with the step 4 Press the TV key on your universal remote and within 4 seconds the LED will turn off.
6. Your remote is now ready to work with your TV.

For DTH/STB

1. Switch on your DTH/STB first.
2. Press the DTH/STB key for 2 seconds and you will see a LED on your remote will start blinking and glowing.
3. Once you are done with step 2, press the Power key to start the auto search function to identify your DTH/STB device.
4. Once your remote is done with auto search and your DTH/STB device has been identified, it will turn OFF your DTH/STB.
5. The moment you are done with step 4, press the DTH/STB key on your remote and within 4 seconds the LED light will turn off.
6. Your remote is now ready to work with your DTH/STB device.

Q. How can I set up my universal TV Remote via the setup code procedure?

The Earthma Universal remote is compatible with most of the brands of TV, DVD, STB/DTH, and AUX devices. To start using the remote, please check if your brand is listed or not (details are given in the manual).

For TV

4. LED light will blink twice and then it will turn off.
5. Press the ON/OFF key to test the code.
6. If your device reacts, then it’s done.

8. Once you have found the code that works correctly, don’t forget to note it down for future reference.

For DTH/STB

1. Switch on your STB/DTH device.
2. Press DTH/STB key, a green LED light will blink twice.
3. Now, enter the 4 digit code.
4. LED light will blink twice and then it will turn off.
5. Now press the ON/OFF key to test the code.
6. If your device reacts, then it’s done.
7. If not, try again with the next code given in the list.
8. Once you have found the code that works correctly, don’t forget to note it down for future reference.

For DVD

Q. What do I have to do before I start programming my TV and DTH/STB?

To start using the remote, please check if your brand is listed, if yes then look for your code (details are given in the manual).

Q. The code for my TV and DTH/STB is not in the manual, what do I need to do?

There’s nothing to worry about. You can also set it with auto search configuration.

Q. Why doesn’t the learning work on my TV, DVD, STB/DTH and AUX?

There are a number of reasons why learning might be unsuccessful:

1. Make sure the original remote that came with the device is in working order by testing it on your device. If it is not responding, it might not be working correctly.
2. Ensure that the two remotes are approximately 2 to 3 cm apart, and that the transmitting end of the original remote is facing the remote. Sometimes holding the key on the original remote down for slightly longer may help, and sometimes quickly pressing and releasing the key on the original works better.
3. The batteries used should have sufficient power.The remote might work while turning on or turning off a device, it may not have enough power to be able to learn additional functions. You should replace them with a new set of batteries
4. Some manufactured remotes use a different signal, or infra-red protocol, that the One For All remote cannot reproduce. These are common signals that use a higher frequency. Radiofrequency remotes control cannot be learned because these signals are not infra-red based.

Q. How can I program a missing function on my TV, DVD, STB/DTH and AUX?

It is possible to add missing functions via a procedure known as “Learning Key.”

Q. How can I learn a missing function on my TV, DVD, STB/DTH and AUX using the original remote control?

Learning is a process by which we can learn any functions of any remote control i.e. TV/DTH/STB/AUX/DVD etc to iON-Pro. Your ION Pro can learn up to 42 functions of the same or different remote controls.

If you want to learn multiple functions of the same remote in your ION Pro then follow the steps given below:

1. Keep both the remote controls i.e.( ION Pro & the other remote) facing each other at a distance of 1cm.
2. Press ‘learn’ mode key of ION Pro for 2-4 seconds until LED turns on.
3. Press any key/function of your Earthma iON-Pro remote which you want to get learned from another remote.
4. Now press the same key on the other remote and then press learn key of iON Pro, your desired key/function is saved in iON-Pro.

Q. How can I delete a learned key on my TV, DVD, STB/DTH and AUX?

For this you need to follow the learning procedure again for this particular key.

Q. How can I set up a device on my TV, DVD, STB/DTH and AUX if I do not have a code?

Learning is a process by which you can learn any functions of any tv remote control i.e. TV/DTH/STB/AUX/DVD on iON-Pro.

Q. How do I perform a factory reset on my TV, DVD, STB/DTH and AUX in remote?

For factory reset, you need to remove the battery from the remote for at least 20 minutes.

Q. What is the infrared operating distance for the universal Remote?

The IR operating distance is up to 10 meter.

Q. Does Earthma work on RF Technology Remote?

No, It does not work on RF (Radio Frequency Remote) as Earthma Universal Remote is IR Technology Remote.
